According to officials, a man approached a table outside a grocery store in Greenacres, Florida. Greenacres is situated near West Palm Beach.
The Girl Scout troop had set up the table in order to sell boxes of cookies to customers entering and exiting the store.
The suspect allegedly glanced at the selection of cookies on display before quickly snatching a black box from the table and making a mad dash into a waiting vehicle.
The black box was reportedly filled with cash. It is not yet clear exactly how much money the suspect stole.
Once the suspect was in the getaway vehicle, the driver took off and fled the scene. According to witnesses, the suspect’s vehicle was a two-door, black Toyota.
