According to law enforcement, the stabbing incident occurred at a house located on the 1000 block of West 25th Street in Riviera Beach, FL. The residence is near Blue Heron Boulevard and Old Dixie Highway.
The 45-year-old suspect allegedly got into a verbal altercation with the 55-year-old victim. The dispute stemmed from the victim reportedly telling the suspect to leave the premises. When the suspect refused to leave, the victim reportedly confronted him.
At some point, the altercation became physical and the suspect allegedly brandished a pocket knife. According to law enforcement, the suspect used the pocket knife to stab the victim at least one time.
After being stabbed, the victim reportedly threw a propane tank at the suspect.
Riviera Beach FL police were called to the scene a short time later.
Police officers later tracked down the suspect, who was lying in the middle of the road on the 2500 block of Avenue M. He was approximately one block away from the residence.
When police found the suspect, he was suffering from cuts on his cheek and back. He was transported to nearby St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he received medical treatment for his injuries.
After being arrested and treated for his injuries, the suspect was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $27,000 bail.
