Jupiter FL Police Investigate Armed Robbery, Shooting at McDonald’s Parking Lot
Police in Jupiter Florida are looking for several men who allegedly committed an armed robbery that resulted in a woman being shot.
According to authorities, the victim was sitting in her car at the parking lot of a McDonald’s located at 6760 West Indiantown Road in Jupiter, FL. While the woman sat in the vehicle, several men approached her. The men were between the ages of 18 and 20.
The woman later told police that one of the men flashed a handgun and then instructed her to hand over her possessions.
When the woman refused the suspect’s demands, he allegedly shot her. The woman sustained a gunshot wound to the leg as a result.
The woman then reportedly drove away from the group of men and got help.
The victim was later transported to Jupiter Medical Center, where she received medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries to her leg. She was later released from the hospital.
Jupiter FL police are actively investigating the incident. At this time, law enforcement has not identified any suspects in the case.
If the shooter is eventually identified and apprehended, he would be subject to serious criminal charges for aggravated battery and armed robbery.
