According to law enforcement, the 39-year-old suspect dialed 911 a number of times to complain about her ex-boyfriend. Since none of the phone calls were considered emergencies, the operator warned the woman to stop misusing the 911 system. The operator also provided the woman with the non-emergency police phone number.
When the woman reportedly continued to place the 911 phone calls, police went to her apartment in Tequesta, Florida. The woman had allegedly called police to report that her ex-boyfriend was committing fraud by using his father’s name in traffic court. The suspect tried to provide police with traffic court subpoenas from 2010.
Jupiter police officers spoke with the woman about the incident. When the officers began to place the suspect under arrest, she allegedly started to pull away. Police eventually took the suspect into custody.
The suspect was charged with misusing the 911 system. As a result of her alleged struggle with police, the suspect was also charged with resisting arrest.
After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail. She was later transferred to a behavioral health facility in West Palm Beach, Florida.
