West Palm Beach Man Accused of Driving Drunk, Threatening to Kill Police Officers
A West Palm Beach man was allegedly driving drunk when he sideswiped another vehicle and threatened to kill police officers.
The incident occurred in Palm Springs, Florida. According to law enforcement, the 56-year-old suspect caused an accident near the intersection of Summit Boulevard and South Congress Avenue.
When Palm Springs police officers arrived at the scene, they found the suspect still seated behind the wheel of his car. He reportedly had drooped eyelids, smelled of alcohol, and slurred his words when he spoke to police.
The officers instructed the suspect to remain in his vehicle, but he allegedly disobeyed their orders and got out of his car. When the officers told the suspect to get back into his vehicle, he reportedly refused. At that point, the officers wrestled the suspect to the ground and placed him under arrest.

The suspect has been charged with several offenses, including driving under the influence (DUI), resisting arrest, and threats to a public servant.
Sometime after being arrested and processed, the suspect posted a $3,000 bond and secured his release from the Palm Beach County Jail.
