A Delray Beach FL housecleaner has been charged with grand theft for allegedly stealing jewelry from her clients.
The suspect, who works for the “All House Calls” cleaning service, was first arrested when she allegedly took jewelry from an 87-year-old woman who lives in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Remarkably, the suspect was arrested again after allegedly stealing jewelry from the suburban home of another elderly client just a few weeks after the first alleged theft incident.
According to police, the suspect was employed as a housecleaner for an 80-year-old woman in Delray Beach, FL. At some point during the suspect’s employment, the elderly homeowner noticed that her gold engagement ring and gold charm bracelet had gone missing.
The homeowner suspected that someone from her housecleaning service had committed the theft. She notified police and identified the suspect as one of the people who had worked in her home.
Delray Beach police began an investigation into the second theft incident. During the investigation, police reportedly learned that the suspect had sold a number of jewelry pieces to local pawn shops.
Investigators eventually determined that criminal charges should be filed against the suspect. As a result, the suspect was again placed under arrest and charged with grand theft, dealing in stolen property, false verification of ownership, and organized scheme to defraud.
After being arrested and charged, the suspect was released on $34,000 bond.
