Lantana Woman Charged with Leaving Scene of Accident, Allegedly Crashed into Moped Rider in Boynton Beach, FL
A Lantana FL woman was arrested after she allegedly caused a hit-and-run accident in Boynton Beach, Florida.
According to law enforcement, the 52-year-old suspect fled the scene of a car accident after slamming into a man riding a moped on a Boynton Beach street.
The victim, a 53-year-old Lake Worth FL man, sustained serious injuries in the crash. The auto accident occurred near the intersection of Quantum Boulevard and Gateway Boulevard.
After the accident, the victim was rushed to Delray Medical Center. The victim received medical treatment for critical injuries at the hospital. He remains on life support and is currently listed in critical condition.
Meanwhile, police officers investigated the crash and eventually located the suspect’s vehicle, a white Toyota Echo, at a residence in Lake Worth, Florida. The home is said to belong to a friend of the suspect.
The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest without further incident.
The suspect has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in serious injuries.
