Police are looking for the suspect in the armed robbery of a Dunkin’ Donuts store in Boynton Beach, Florida.
According to police, the suspect walked into the Dunkin’ Donuts located near Hypoluxo Road and Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach, FL.
Once the suspect was inside the store, he allegedly approached the cashier and demanded money from the register. The suspect allegedly brandished a weapon during the theft.
After getting cash from the cashier, the suspect allegedly approached two customers in the store and instructed them to hand over money as well.
The suspect then exited the store and fled the area.
Boynton Beach police were called to the scene a short time later. During the subsequent investigation, police obtained video surveillance footage from the store. The footage reportedly shows the suspect committing the robberies.
The video footage also reportedly shows the suspect wearing a long-sleeved Superman shirt. According to witnesses at the scene, the suspect used the Superman shirt to cover his face and conceal his identity during the theft.
Police are actively investigating the incident.
If the suspect is eventually identified and captured, he could be subject to significant penalties. As set forth by Florida Statutes Section 812.13, anyone who commits a robbery while carrying a firearm or other deadly weapon can potentially be sentenced to life imprisonment.
