Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed USPS postal carriers in Boca Raton, Florida.
According to authorities, the two suspects were sitting in a car and waiting in the parking lot of the main post office at 2800 North Military Trail in Boca Raton, FL.
When a postal carrier arrived for work in the morning, the suspects got out of their vehicle and robbed him at gunpoint. The suspects reportedly stole the victim’s wallet and cell phone.
After robbing the mail carrier, the suspects walked into the post office. Once inside the building, they robbed another postal employee. The suspects allegedly took the second victim’s wallet and cell phone as well.
Thankfully, neither of the victims was injured during the robberies.
Police were called to the scene shortly after the second theft. Police officers investigated and located the victims’ cell phones near the crime scene.
Sometime later that same day, two men who matched the descriptions provided by postal employees robbed a Palm Tran worker in Delray Beach, Florida. The suspects in that theft allegedly took the victim’s purse and cell phone. Police later found the victim’s cell phone, which had been discarded near the scene of the crime.
Police who investigated the later theft were able to obtain surveillance footage from the scene. However, investigators have yet to identify any suspects in the thefts.
