Florida police are investigating the murders of two men in separate incidents in West Palm Beach and Lake Worth.
The two killings are the first confirmed homicides in Palm Beach County in 2015.
The first homicide occurred in West Palm Beach, Florida. The 20-year-old victim was found near the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Hollywood Place.
According to authorities, the victim was quickly transported to nearby St. Mary’s Medical Center. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save him; the victim succumbed to his injuries the following day.
At this time, West Palm Beach FL police have yet to identify any suspects in the case. Investigators also do not know if there was a motive for the shooting.
The day after the West Palm Beach shooting, a homicide was committed in Lake Worth, Florida. The 27-year-old victim’s body was discovered on the 900 block of North H Street in Lake Worth, FL. The location was just west of Dixie Highway and south of 10th Avenue North.
Sometime later, a preliminary autopsy was conducted on the victim. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the autopsy revealed that the suspect had been murdered.
At this time, the exact cause of death has not yet been revealed by authorities.
The two murders are being classified as the first homicides in Palm Beach County so far this year. During 2014, there were a total of 91 confirmed homicides in the county. According to database information, at least 19 of the murders occurred in West Palm Beach, FL.
