Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for suspects in the recent killings of two men near Boynton Beach, Florida.
According to law enforcement, the two victims were found in a Dodge Charger that was parked on Talway Circle in the Melrose Park development. The complex is located west of Lyons Road and between Boynton Beach Boulevard and Hypoluxo Road.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 5 am. Someone at the scene notified Palm Beach police and alerted them to a “car crash.”
The victims were already dead when police officers arrived at the scene. According to officials, the victims died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators with the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office are actively looking into the shootings and trying to identify suspects. Additionally, detectives are trying to determine the precise series of events that led to the murders.
Police are referring to their work in the case as a “death investigation.”
Very few details have been released at this time. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the two victims.
However, a PBSO spokesman did say that police have found no evidence of a car crash, which is in contrast to initial reports.
If any suspects in the case are eventually identified and apprehended, they would likely face significant criminal penalties. As set forth by Florida Statutes Section 782.04, a murder conviction carries a potential death penalty in certain cases.
