Palm Beach Gardens FL Man Charged with Theft, Accused of Stealing Items, Forging Check

Palm Beach Gardens FL Theft SuspectPolice recently arrested a Palm Beach Gardens man accused of going on a theft spree over the course of several months.

According to law enforcement, the thefts began in February when the 30-year-old suspect stole a backpack. The theft incident reportedly occurred at a bus stop located on Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Police said that the suspect took an ID card from the backpack and then used it several times in subsequent months.

The thefts allegedly continued in April, when the suspect illegally entered an apartment that was in the process of being fumigated. Once the suspect was inside the residence, he allegedly stole a PlayStation 3 video game console, a checkbook, and four watches.

Investigators believe that the suspect later pawned the PlayStation and attempted to fraudulently cash a forged check from the stolen checkbook. When Chase Bank employees noticed that the signatures did not match, they flagged the bank transaction and contacted police.

A week later, the suspect allegedly stole clothing from a Tommy Bahama store located in CityPlace in West Palm Beach, Florida. The suspect’s image was reportedly captured on surveillance video inside the store.

Palm Beach Gardens police eventually determined the identity of the suspect and located him. He was placed under arrest without incident.

The suspect faces several criminal charges, including one count of burglary, two counts of theft, two counts of dealing in stolen property, and six counts of fraud.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to Palm Beach County Jail. He was being held at the facility on a $35,000 bail amount.
