Boynton Beach FL Man Allegedly Attacked Roommates, Charged with Battery

Boynton Beach Battery SuspectPolice arrested a Boynton Beach FL man who allegedly attacked his roommates during an argument over his prescription medication.

Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at a house located on Silver Maple Lane in Boynton Beach, Florida. When police got to the home, they spoke with residents.

According to witnesses, the 27-year-old suspect violently attacked his roommates. The altercation reportedly stemmed from an argument about the suspect’s medication. The suspect became agitated because he believed that his housemates had stolen his medicine.

At one point, the suspect allegedly threw an object at a bedroom door; the object left a large hole in the door.

The suspect also reportedly tried to punch one of his roommates. After the roommate swung back, the suspect reportedly left the scene.

Palm Beach deputies tracked down the suspect at a gas station near the residence. When police placed the suspect under arrest, they reportedly found two prescription bottles in his car: one with marijuana and another with a pill that did not match the label on the bottle.

The suspect has been charged with a number of crimes, including battery, grand theft, false imprisonment, and witness tampering.

If the suspect is convicted on the battery charges, he faces severe penalties. As set forth by Florida Statutes Section 784.03, a first degree misdemeanor battery conviction could result in a sentence of 1 year in county jail.
